Sprint Battle Format
Many things past and present has gone into Sprint Battle's format to make it ready and competitive for mainstream success. For years sprinting has been a part of track and field, with the first recorded sprinting events dating back to the Ancient Olympic Games in Greece in the 7th century B.C. The sport has evolved over time, with various distances and formats being introduced, but the core concept of running at top speed over a short distance has remained the same. Today, sprinting is a popular track and field event, with athletes competing in events like the 100m, 200m, and 400m dashes.
The format of sprinting has remained largely unchanged because it's a skill that requires practice and time to develop proper technique. Sprinting is about applying maximum force to the ground, and the format has been optimized to allow for this. While the technique and biomechanics of sprinting can be improved, the basic format has remained the same.
It is the format to a great degree is the viability and success of a sport. The format of a sport is crucial as it determines how teams compete and how the league operates. A well-structured format can make a league more exciting, fair, and successful. It ensures that each team plays an equal number of games, and the schedule is balanced to avoid any team having an unfair advantage. A good format also helps maintain competitive integrity by ensuring that the best teams qualify for the playoffs and the championship. Moreover, it can increase fan engagement by creating more meaningful games and a clearer path to the championship.
I'm trying hard not to compare the format of track and field sprinting and Sprint Battle sprinting but, its hard to stay away considering for years all we have been give is a track and field sprinting format. However, I will say this for now. The track and field sprinting format as we know it today caters to the 1% of athletic elite. What does this mean, that there is 99% of great athletic sprint talent not getting the exposure or revenue opportunity that should be available. Why I say should be available is because, sprinting has been around way to long not to have a sprint format that includes a wider range of competitive athletes.
Also, I must mention to a small degree is, what I see as a hindrance to sprinting is its inability to go mainstream and sustain it self. Track and field's format's inability to cultivate euphoria and sustain it for long period of time takes away from it competing with other sports for viewing time. This is a good reason why they cater to the top 1% giving them the highest possibility of attracting a larger audience. Sprint Battle see this important factor and places strategic emphasis in its track design to build around its own sprint format.
Sprint Battle's track has calculated dimensions, curvature and straight a ways that encompass a free flowing challenge for athletes. However, the time for an athlete to recoup and compete again within the tree hour competition is remarkable.
a regular person must be able to say "I can do this and conquer this Sprint Battle track with practice". With Sprint Battles format it not just about the competition you will face, It's also about will you be able to handle the track demanding change of speed and endure to the end.
I'm pushing for this track to be the new sprint competition track dimensions for athletic sprinters. I'm not saying out with the old, in with the new not at all. What I'm proposing is the sprint industry has room for many other athletic competitions that can bring a new dimension of sprinting to the market. At the end of the day, like all sports its the consumer market that alternately determines a successful product or not.
DM me if you would like to start practicing on this track design and I will guide you through its lay-out.
